Do you have a gajillion drawings, letters, and love notes from your students?
Did you get caught throwing it away recycling filing it?
My brilliant teaching partner, M, came up with the BEST IDEA EVER for keeping all of those lovely pages without cluttering up our classrooms or hurting anyone’s feelings.
Meet the Team Sparter Book of Happy Thoughts.
That’s right.
Let the cheesiness sink in.
But admit it. It’s brilliant.
The dog’s name is Candy. The artist is Jesse. You know, just in case you were wondering. |
All you need is a view binder and a cute cover page! Then you can admire the artwork, slip it into the binder, and put it on display for all of your kiddos to ooh and aah over.
It’s a pretty good mood booster when you’re having a rotten day as well. ๐ |
Our minions love it. They pore over it in the morning after they finish their morning work. They love to flip through it in the afternoons while we are waiting on buses to arrive.
I love no more hurty feelings. I can wait until the end of the year to recycle file everything.
Just in case you want to use this same brilliant idea, I’m sharing my cover with you! I even embedded the font so you can type out your name at the top. ๐ Just grab it from Dropbox to use it in your room!

I've been meaning to do this for the longest time! It's such a perfect idea. Although my fifth graders don't give quite as many love notes as my second graders did. Thanks for sharing!
