Hi Abby, I'm so glad I found your book study site! I am expecting the book I ordered to come this week, and am so glad I came across your book study today. I'll be able to catch up with all of you. I'm so excited, I can't wait to get started! I am now a new follower! I referenced the book study site on my blog. I would love for you to check it out!
So glad to find your blog. I don't have the Daily 5 Cafe book, but I've seen pix, posts, etc. about it. I look forward to reading your posts and learning more.
Hi Abby, I was happy to find the book study since I've been reading the Daily 5, and have the CAFE book waiting to be read. It was so exciting to see a book study for teachers of older students as well. I was, like you, nodding my head in agreement as I read chapter one the first time. The sisters have a wonderfully realistic view of students and this seems to really work for them. I have recently moved to a new state and am looking for a job. What better time to start something new!
Enjoyed your book study post today! I will be teaching 2 different sets of 4th graders this year much like your schedule with 3rd graders language arts. I would love to see how your daily schedule looks if you could share. My email is chcarnazzo@gmail.com. I am moving from 2nd grade and have never done the team teaching thing before. Thanks!
congrats on 600!! let me know if you still need a donation for your giveaway…id love to help justwildaboutteaching.blogspot.com

Hi Abby!
So these questions I have might sound REALLY silly..but I'm a new blogger. I'm still trying to get the design of my blog up and running, but am so antsy that I had to blog about the book study just to get all of my thoughts down. My questions are about "blog etiquette". I could just google these things, but thought I would ask one of the many blogs I follow!
If I mention another awesome blog in a post of mine, like the book study blog, do I have to ask permission to do so?
If i link another awesome blog, do I have to ask permission for this as well?
I hope you can help! ๐ Love your blog and look forward to mine being up and running this evening!
I am a new blogger (to teaching.. I had a big personal blog for a while, but it got very time consuming) and I will be starting my first year of teaching 2nd grade in August! Yay!! I really want to implement the Daily 5 in my classroom and just started reading the book yesterday. I had no idea there was a book study blog for this and am beyond excited to have stumbled across it. The teachers I will be working with have never even heard of it and I have been itching to use it since the beginning of my student teaching. I am excited to have a network of teachers that I can talk about the Daily 5 with. I can't wait to get to know you better!! Thanks for hosting Chapter 1!
Don't be silly, those are great questions! I'll do my best to help. ๐
Most bloggers *love* free publicity. I link to others' blogs all the time and I usually just leave them a comment on their most recent post letting them know I gave them a "shout-out." ๐
I'm going to go ahead and speak for We Read, We Blog, We Teach and say you can give us all the shout-outs you want! The more teachers we have talking about The Daily 5 in intermediate classrooms, the better!
Abby, I'm giving you the Versatile Blogger award! Yea! It's fun to be honored with this. Stop over at my blog and you'll see how to pick it up! Patty Second In Line
