Back in business! I’m linking up with the fabulous Farley again!
The back to school chaos seems to be subsiding, I have gotten real sleep, and the only thing I am blatantly ignoring is the giant pile of laundry in our bedroom. Who’s with me?! π
Listening: Do you ever hear a song that speaks *right* to your heart? That’s pretty much what has happened here. This song has been cemented in my heart in the past 30 days. I cannot sing it without getting that “oh-my-goodness-I-might-cry” feeling in my throat. But I love it. Every word.
Loving: I didn’t always love football. But then I went to an SEC school and the rest is history. My team may not have won on Saturday, but just being able to call the Dawgs again made my weekend. Looking forward to watching lots of games with my sweet boy this fall!
Thinking + Needing: These two go together this month. I seriously have about 7 different projects and 3 freebies that are *almost* finished. I need to sit my tail down and get them finished. I have had major TPT ADD, so I when I finally get my butt in gear I am definitely going to be on upload overload!!
Wanting: How many of you are in the same position today? I made a deal with myself. If I wrote out my blog post, then I had to go do a load of laundry. My husband’s empty underroo drawer would probably appreciate it too — HA!
Love Yourself! I have done a little of that this weekend. I slept when I wanted to sleep and I worked when I wanted to work. I’ve gotten all of the BIG things on my To Do list done, so I’m going to call that a win. π
1. Leave by 5: I know this may sound absolutely insane to some of you, but I have not walked out the door before 6:00 p.m. since school started. I’m getting there around 6:30 a.m. (kids come at 7:15) and I cannot seem to get everything done. (Focus? Again?) So, for the next 30 days, I’m going to walk out the door before 5:00 p.m. I’m going to have to get someone to hold me to it, but I’ve got to get back on track. My husband misses me. π
2. Plan a date night: Speaking of that sweet boy, he is sorely neglected. I am so thankful he is such a patient man and he knows this time of year is CUH-RAZY! I have an idea for a fun surprise – I just don’t know if I can pull it off. But I’m going to try!!
3. Quiet time: I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I feel like I need to keep doing it. This is not a strength of mine – it never has been. One of the things I’m hoping I’ll be able to do if I leave at 5:00 is to come home and have my own quiet time before my sweet boy comes home. My Bible study group is gearing up for another season, and I’m looking forward to having that time for fellowship each week as well.
I hope you’ve all had a relaxing Labor Day weekend! I’m looking forward to poking around Farley’s list and seeing what everyone else is up to this month!

I completely get the leave by 5 goal. I'm typically at work for 11ish hours a day too. Wish you were at my school so we could shoo each other out at a decent hour π

How did I not know about my fellow Georgia girl?!? Even though we cheer for different teams, it's still nice to know we are in the same "neck of the woods!"
BTW, I graduated from UGA with my masters, but have been a Tiger fan a lot longer!!

Hi Abby!
I found you through Currently. I completely get your goals. I have been working on the same things…not bringing so much school along home with me, finding quiet time, and setting time aside to do special things with the hubs. Good luck…I'll be cheering for you!
PS – We have the same scrap kit for our blog designs. π Only, I went with red and you went turquoise. How long have you had your design? Of course, I'll be following you now!

I also love football… BUT I went to UF and I'm a big gator…living in GA. I get a lot of lip for that! π
And – if that laundry fairy makes it to you – send her my way! π

Well, I didn't quite make it out *on time* today. I could definitely use a "shoo" buddy! π

It's okay… this is probably the only time for the next 50 years we have to worry about a football game! π So glad to have another Georgia blogger friend!

Oh girl…
My laundry fairy told me she doesn't wash orange and blue. π
Love those SEC rivalries!! <3
