I am really excited to share that We Read, We Blog, We Teach will be up and running again this summer!

We will take a look at one of my favorite Reader’s Workshop resources – The Book Whisperer by Donalyn Miller.
I know that we looked at this a couple of summers ago, but I have some brand spankin’ new ideas floating around in my head and I cannot wait to share them with you. This will be a great way for you to connect with other teacher-bloggers as we explore how to apply Donalyn’s ideas in our upper elementary classrooms.
We’ll kick off our study in mid-June, so in celebration I wanted to give away a copy to one of my fabulous followers!

I love http://www.readworks.com for skills to teach during Reading Workshop!
I like Scoot Pad I tried it towards the end of this year and my kids really liked it. My other are my 5 ipods I have in my classroom. I have a fluency timer and recorder on them. The students read their fluency passage for the week and it saves it. It is pretty cool.
