I was monkeying around with an old game this morning and gave it a fresh new look.
It’s a partner game that requires my kiddos to switch back and forth between synonyms and antonyms. They can identify and create them in isolation, but once I ask them to mix it up… it’s a mess. I’m hoping this will be a fun way to practice when we get back from Spring Break.
It’s easy to prep and easy to play. All you need is a file folder, a dozen or so red/yellow chips (you know, the ones that are collecting dust in your math manipulative closet) and a set of pawns for each partner. Print off the game boards and recording sheets and you’re ready to go!
Best of all, it’s FREE! Leave me a little love if it’s something you can use!

Ooh, I love this! I always find that kids can do synonyms OR antonyms, but then when I mix them up, they get confused. This would be another great way to practice both together and really reinforce the terms! Thanks SO much for sharing! I am excited to use this in my room!

Looks great but can't seem to download it at TPT. Perhaps a glitch with the TPT system???

I'm away from my computer but I'll look at TpT as soon as I can. In the meantime, try my TN shop. Sorry ladies! π

I just found you through Classroom Freebies. It didn't work at TPT…said the page didn't exist. I'll look at your other shop. π
